Students will explore the spread of human diseases, plant diseases, and animal diseases. They'll learn about the math and science behind disease outbreaks, how to prevent illnesses, and how to get a career in public health. Students will also go on field trips and interact with healthcare professionals, and plant and animal specialists. It will be a very fun, informative, and interactive 5 day camp!
To learn more, come to the parent information meeting on at the East McDowell Junior High auditorium. If you cannot come to the meeting but would like more information, please call Brook Thompson at 828-803-4527.
Spring is just around the corner, which means it is time once again for our testing season! WMJH needs parents, guardians, and community members to help our dedicated staff by serving as proctors as we administer state tests to students. Being a proctor is a very important role and does require training and a background check. If you can serve in this capacity please contact Judy Biggerstaff by either calling the school (828-652-3390) or by emailing her at email@example.com.
