Vision
At West McDowell Junior High School, we envision a school that inspires dreams, sets goals, and recognizes the accomplishments of all students – a place where everyone is committed to working cooperatively to instill positive attitudes and a life-long love of learning. We believe knowledge of where we have been, why we are here, and where we are going is vital to our directing students toward personal goals and providing individual needs. We see our school as safe and secure, promoting an atmosphere of total learning. We see a place where staff, students, parents, and community work hand in hand to motivate and support students in their quest to become productive citizens with skills and values necessary to contribute to our democratic way of life.
London Paris Spring Break 2012

The group visited many sites such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Canterbury Cathedral, and Windsor Castle in London; the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Catacombs, and the Arc of Triumph in Paris. .
Earth Day Activities
We would like to thank our students and staff for all the hard work done to improve the look of our campus. The community also pitched in with donations. New flowers were planted, flower beds weeded and mulched, rocks moved, etc. Thanks to everyone who participated.
